The Boston Lobsters are New England's World TeamTennis pro league tennis team based in Middleton, Massachusetts.
The Boston Lobsters pro tennis team originally joined the WTT league in 1974 and competed until 1978. Robert Kraft of the New England Patriots owned the team during these four years.
In 2005, local Boston businessman Bahar Uttam, retired CEO of Synetics Corporation, relaunched the team.
The Boston Lobsters play home matches at the Joan Norton Stadium at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, MA, on Ferncroft Road, next to Danvers on Route 1 and about 19 minutes north of Boston. Seating is approximately 1,700.

Marquee players signed in 2011 by the Boston Lobsters are top-ranked James Blake and John Isner.[1] Notable visiting tennis players in 2010 include Chris Evert, Mark Philippoussis and Melanie Oudin. Bud Schultz continues as Head Coach of the Boston Lobsters.
